Cruise pays over $33,000 a month in child support, totaling around $400,000 yearly. The divorce settlement requires he to cover Suri’s expenses like education and college.
Suri, now 17, is reportedly applying to prestigious fashion schools in NYC. Though their relationship is distant, Cruise is still obligated to pay for college costs.
Holmes receives the monthly payment until Suri turns 18 next April. Possibilities include Holmes saving up herself, paying one year upfront, or Cruise extending payments through graduation. In any case, Suri will hopefully have an amazing college experience. Though Cruise won’t be involved in choosing her school, he may end up paying a huge part of the bill due to the divorce agreement.
Despite the family divide, Cruise’s child support requirements mean he could heavily contribute to this next chapter for Suri after her 18th birthday.
