She recently spent 11 days and spent US$2,493 on 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hairspray spray, and 35 bottles of hairspray. and 6,250 hairpins to create a 351.28-meter-long wig, successfully breaking the Guinness world record for the longest handmade wig.
Hyalun revealed in a recent interview that after the wig is completed, it is very difficult to find a place to spread it out and accurately measure it. She chose to roll out her wig on the highway connecting Lagos and Abeokuta on July 7 this year. The official Guinness World Records confirmed the record on November 14.
She admitted that she was exhausted during the process of making the wig. Thanks to the encouragement and support of her friends and family, and not wanting to disappoint her relatives and friends, she was able to continue focusing on completing the wig. Unexpectedly, it would eventually become the longest-handmade wig in the world.
“This achievement is one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I still can’t believe it,” she said.
