Selena Gomez Shares Sweet Photos with Nicola Peltz Beckham: ‘When You Need Your Bestie’
On Friday, Selena Gomez, a 30-year-old actress, and singer, shared posts on both Instagram and TikTok, showcasing her friendship with Nicola Peltz Beckham, aged 28.
In an endearing TikTok video, the two friends, who started posting about each other on social media towards the end of 2022, were seen laughing and looking at the camera. Gomez hugged Peltz Beckham while holding a glass of juice, and the duo was surprised by a loud noise off-camera, causing Gomez to fall backward on the couch. However, the sound did not stop their laughter, and the Only Murders in the Building wrote, “When you need your bestie” over the clip.
Around the same time, Gomez also shared a series of photos on Instagram that featured the two friends hanging out together. In the first photo, Peltz Beckham made a cheeky kissing face at the camera, while Gomez laughed, with her arm around her friend. Both were wearing swimwear and wrapped in large towels. Another shot showed the pair hugging on a couch, sporting big smiles while looking cozy in large sweaters. The final image seemed to be from an earlier swim session, with the two friends posing together in swimwear on an outdoor couch next to a pool. Although Gomez did not add a caption to the post, Peltz Beckham quickly expressed her appreciation for her bestie in the comments section, writing, “I love you so much!!”
While it is unclear when the duo first met, they seemingly became fast friends after sharing their friendship online in 2022 and have spent plenty of quality time together ever since. Earlier this year, Gomez and Peltz Beckham celebrated the New Year’s holiday with Peltz’s husband, Brooklyn Beckham, at a resort in Mexico. Gomez jokingly referred to them as a “Fine calls us a throuple” in the caption of an Instagram photo from the trip.
The two friends have documented their various hangouts on social media, including attending Beckham’s soccer practice together in February. In May, Gomez interviewed Peltz and Beckham, who is 24 years old, for Wondermind, a mental health content hub that she co-founded. During the Q&A, Gomez expressed how much she loves being part of a “throuple” with the married couple. Peltz Beckham responded by saying, “Selena, we love you so much, you have no idea,” Peltz Beckham responded. “I think we speak the same love language. We never really go out in L.A. We’re always working or with the dogs. The best moments are just like when you don’t have to do anything. You can just be with the people you love, and it makes me so happy, but I’m also such a homebody.”
