Designer Nicole Chang Details Making Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Gowns!

Designer Nicole Chang Details Making Taylor Swift: Designer Nicole Chang screamed with joy seeing Taylor Swift wear her brand’s custom gold ball gown during the Eras Tour. Creating Swift’s concert looks was an intuitive, collaborative process with stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer.

Chang’s label, Nicole + Felicia, made two more bespoke creations – a purple glitter tulle dress and an icy blue halter gown. She says they didn’t know when or where Swift would wear the pieces.

Her atelier meticulously crafted each look by hand, spending weeks on intricate details. Chang calls the blue dress, which Falconer simply requested in that color, a favorite “moment.”

She reveals Swift even provided feedback on samples to get the perfect fit on each gown before thousands saw them on stage. Chang also designed matching dresses for Swift’s dancers.

Cassell Falconer first approached the Chang sisters after seeing their work in 2021 to create Swift’s red and white floral dresses for a music video. The 40-person team hustled to handmake the intricate appliqués.

Chang never expected such success when starting the brand in 2015 with sister Felicia. But dressing celebrities put them on the map, especially creating Swift’s concert art. A gown based on Swift’s look is now sold at Kleinfeld Bridal.

Seeing Swift in their pieces was beyond Chang’s dreams. She’s proud of how far they’ve come, from a passion project to dressing one of music’s biggest stars.
