Last year, Space Transportation announced the development of a “rocket with wings” designed for space tourism and unprecedented transportation times to countries around the globe.

Currently, the typical flight time from New York to Beijing is approximately 18 hours.

So an hour’s drive seems almost unimaginable, but when you hear how fast it goes, you’ll understand how it’s possible.

The winged rocket is expected to fly at a speed of about 4,184 km/h, which is twice the speed of Concorde.

“We are developing a winged rocket for high-speed point-to-point transport that is more cost-effective than satellite-carrying rockets and faster than conventional aircraft,” a company spokesman told Yincheng Times.
We’ve already heard how promising the future of supersonic transportation looks, with several private companies and NASA currently working on projects.

But this is the first time we’ve heard of a winged rocket – and it could be coming a lot sooner than you think.

The soil tests should be completed this year.
